Iva Bell hot Springs is a once in a lifetime destination in the High Sierra. Multiple natural hot springs grace this amazing geothermal area. This is a truly rewarding 4 day/3 night backpacking experience.
❋ Terrain
The terrain on this trip is considered moderate, though it can seem challenging due to the altitude and mileage. We will make many stops on our way to the hot springs to enjoy the scenery, take photos and filter water from the creek.
❋ Mileage
Expect to hike up to 8 miles on day 1, and 4 miles on day two. The afternoon of day two and day 3 will be relaxing with time spent in the hot springs. We will hike the full 12 miles out on our last day.
❋ Safety
Our trip leaders have certifications in wilderness medicine and will work to keep everyone safe. Accidents may happen, but rest assured, we all carry Garmin in each gps satellite devices in case of emergency.

Day OneArrive & Meet
We will meet early in the morning to get a good start on our day. This will ensure we find parking and have plenty of time to reach our first camp site.

Day TwoJust a few miles to the hot springs!
We’ll get packed up and on trail to continue our hike to the hot springs area. We will then find a suitable space for our camp and have the rest of the day to enjoy ourselves. There will be optional activities such as nature journaling for those interested.

Day ThreeTime for relaxation, exploration and activities
We will spend the day relaxing and exploring with optional activities like Mindfulness meditation, ethnobotanical talks and land art. Feel free to have some solo time or explore with the group.
In the evening, we will reflect on our time in the wilderness and plan for the next days hike out.
A complete itinerary with meet up locations and suggested gear list will be provided after sign up.
You will be responsible for your own food on this trip. We are happy to make suggestions upon request.
